I got mine for 105.00 to my door with the kit included. Two thumbs up to this guy!!! There was a small delay in shipping and he kindly refunded my shipping charges, so it cost me less than that, but he was advertising for 105 shipped. I had wanted to buy it from "a guy who happens to have some lying around" but the price difference was large enough that I couldnt justify it.

i'd like to add also that i get a REAL kick out of the service manual. They strongly suggest that one not smoke a cigarette while changing a fuel pump. *snicker* Sounds like a Darwin award in the making to me.

Changing out the pump is a piece of cake. Just be sure to pull your fuses beforehand. Don't want any sparks wasting all that beautiful gasoline vapor you'll be inhaling in the back seat. *smirk* be sure to open the windows and hatch if possible.

Lastly, for clarification... I quoted you $115.00 DELIVERED for your pump. It appears that he throws in the freight and the install kit. I will look into the kits if you folks would prefer to have new parts on the bottom of the pump.

I simply do not want to be beat by this guy on fuel pumps... so if I have to drop my pants a bit farther, then so be it.

It is principle to me.

Ah. As I said, I was pulling that number off the top of my head without verifying it.

His advertised price is 105 shipped. If you matched that I'm sure that anyone that knows you would certainly buy from you. If that had been the price up front I would have also. [img]smile.gif[/img] I'm one of those pain in the ass people who knows how to find deals on the net.

He accepts just about any kind of payment, but I paid him by Paypal. The only form of payment I'll use unless I absolutely need something and then I'll break down and use a credit card. I'm pretty adamant about using paypal however. Showed up UPS.

Good luck conquering the fuel pump market. You have my recommendation any day if your prices are better.

Jim: No that was not supposed to be a ribbing. I was just trying to make it clear that I would have liked to get it from you, but the price difference was too big.

The "kit" included a new intake fuel screen/filter, the little metal ring that clamps that screen/filter onto the bottom of the pump, a pice of fuel line to attach the top of the pump, some fuel line clamps, and the rubber boot that goes over the pump. Everything you need to install the pump. Aside from the new screen/filter I didnt even need any of that stuff as I was just swapping out a 317 for a 342. I ordered on a Tuesday, was told it would ship on Friday. Friday I'm told that it hasnt shown up, will show up Saturday, and be shipped on Monday. He refunded my shipping monies, and shipped it out monday. I had it by Wednesday. 8 days total to my door for less than a hundred dollars. I believe that when we talked you were willing to go down to 115 plus shipping. I'd need to verify that by digging through the atrocity that is my email inbox. So basically it was 120-125 versus 105. Then the 105 turned into a fair amount less when I didnt pay for shipping.

He might have you beat on the Walbros.
